Summary
The City of Santa Fe, Enterprise Green Communities and the Enterprise New Mexico office are sponsoring
GreenWORKS
, an open design competition in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The objective of the competition is to design a multi-unit, residential housing compound on a ΒΌ acre city-owned vacant lot in downtown Santa Fe that will provide a designated number of affordably-priced homes.
GreenWORKS
will be judged with diverse representation of local neighborhood residents, neighborhood association representatives, city councilors, and nationally recognized experts in sustainable, affordable housing from the architectural community. Lessons learned from GreenWORKS will contribute to the advancement of land use policy, green building standards, and an effective community input process for the City of Santa Fe, suitable for replication in communities across the United States.
